The Ministry of International Trade, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs, in partnership with the World Bank Group, will host an Electronic Single Window (ESW) Visioning Workshop from 30 September to 1 October 2026 at the Ministry of Agriculture’s La Guerite Conference Room.
The workshop is supported through the World Bank Group’s Regional Caribbean Trade Facilitation Support Program. It will help advance the development of a National Electronic Single Window for Trade, which aims to simplify and automate the exchange of trade documents and information between traders and government agencies. The initiative will also support Saint Kitts and Nevis’ commitments under the World Trade Organization (WTO) Trade Facilitation Agreement by streamlining import and export processes.
The two-day ESW Visioning Workshop will bring together representatives from key border regulatory agencies, government ministries and departments, as well as private-sector stakeholders. The workshop will facilitate discussions aimed at establishing a shared understanding of the ESW’s vision, scope, technological approach and institutional architecture.
Participants will also have the opportunity to examine international best practices in areas including electronic single window design, governance frameworks, procurement approaches, technology solutions and sustainable business models.
The Ministry encourages all invited stakeholders to participate fully in this important initiative, which represents a significant step towards strengthening trade facilitation and modernizing the country’s trading environment.
The Ministry also expresses its appreciation to the World Bank Group for its continued technical support and partnership in advancing this important undertaking.
