(CHARESLTOWN, NEVIS)- The Newcastle resident who was arrested and charged for armed robbery of a TDC delivery truck was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison on Wednesday, October 1, 2014.
Travis ‘Shaggy’ Clarke appeared before Her Honor, Magistrate Yasmine Clarke on Wednesday and requested bail. However, his request was denied and as a result he was remanded to prison.
The 30 year old was arrested some days after the TDC drinks delivery truck was robbed of an undisclosed sum of money on Saturday, September 20, 2014 sometime after 2:00 p.m. in the Newcastle area.
In recent months there have been other incidents of robberies on Nevis, with business establishments and entrepreneurs being the target of the criminals.
