Child Protection during Christmas/Carnival

The Department of Probation and Child Protection Services is reminding parents and guardians to exercise due care and attention to children particularly during the Carnival and Holiday Season.

Children continue to be violated by persons who are expected to secure their innocence and rights and so at this time of the year the Probation and Child Protection Services strongly urge parents and guardians to remember the following advice.

Do not leave children unattended
Know where your children are at all times, but especially during Carnival activities
Place some sort of identification on your children in case they become separated from you
Report abuse or neglect by others to the police or Children Protection Services

For reporting or further information contact the Child Protection Services at 467-1279.
