ST. JOHN’S, ANTIGUA – July 15, 2026 – Day 2 of the Cricket West Indies Rising Stars Men’s Under-19 50-Over Championship delivered three decisive victories, as Barbados, Jamaica, and Leeward Islands all stamped their authority with convincing performances at grounds across Antigua and Barbuda.
📌 Match 1: Barbados vs Guyana
Venue: Coolidge Cricket Ground, Coolidge
Result: Barbados Under-19s won by 63 runs
Barbados won the toss and posted a competitive 258 all out in 49.5 overs. Guyana’s chase never gained momentum; they were bowled out for 195 in 44.1 overs, falling 64 runs short of their target. The victory puts Barbados among the early pace-setters in the tournament.
📌 Match 2: Jamaica vs Trinidad & Tobago
Venue: Liberta Sports Club, Liberta
Result: Jamaica Under-19s won by 106 runs
Jamaica batted first to reach 225/8 from their full 50 overs. Trinidad and Tobago struggled badly in reply, dismissed for just 119 runs in 35.3 overs. A disciplined bowling effort secured Jamaica a comprehensive 106-run win.
📌 Match 3: Leeward Islands vs Windward Islands
Venue: Bethesda Sports Ground, Bethesda
Result: Leeward Islands Under-19s won by 144 runs
The most dominant performance of the day came from the Leeward Islands, who piled up 269/9 in 50 overs. Windward Islands were routed for only 125 runs in 29 overs, handing the hosts a massive 144-run margin of victory.
