Director Of Sports Accepts Cheque From SKN Patriots

The SKN Patriots may not be performing well on the field of play, but they are certainly performing superbly, beyond the boundary.
On Friday 15th July, Director of Sports on Nevis, Jamir Claxton expressed gratitude to the SKN Patriots franchise and more specifically, Chief Operations officer, Mr. Richard Berridge.
Mr. Claxton noted that the donation of funds from the franchise team to the Nevis Island Administration, will be utilized towards the development of a Cricket Academy, which his Department intends to bring on stream in early 2017.
He noted that his department facilitates several Cricket programs which include under 13; under 15; under 17; under 19 and an elite under 23 program, along with assisting the Education Department in the facilitation of the Runako Morton/TDC Primary School league.
He encouraged parents to get their children to be a part of the grass root program, where they will certainly have fun while learning the game and then possibly be incorporated into the Cricket Academy set up.
The cheque was valued at $5,000.00 US.
