Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 22, 2016 (SKNIS): The Government of National Unity will continue its “Discussions for Prosperity” with citizens at an upcoming town hall meeting, which will be held at the Newtown Community Centre in East Basseterre.

“Of course, persons can expect elected representatives to continue to account for their stewardship over the last 17 months and unveil future plans for the social and economic development of St. Kitts and Nevis,” said the Parliamentary Representative, Honourable Ian Patches Liburd.

Minister Liburd will be joined by the Prime Minister, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris, as well as the Deputy Prime Minister, the Honourable Shawn Richards, and the Honourable Vance Amory, Senior Minister and Premier of Nevis.

The featured speakers will address issues related to their ministerial portfolios, amongst other subject areas.

“Given the high turnout at the last town hall meeting and the piqued interest shown, it is anticipated that a much larger crowd will be in attendance at the upcoming meeting,” said Minister Liburd.

For those who will not be able to attend, live coverage will be provided by ZIZ Television (www.zizonline.com/tv/channel-5/) and Radio (95.9, 96.1, 96.3 and 96.9 FM).

“The good governance and transparency agenda introduced under this Team Unity Government continues to be promoted, and certainly this meeting will provide an opportunity for me to keep my constituents abreast of the projects being implemented and those earmarked for the constituency of East Basseterre,” said the Minister.

The meeting will be held on Monday, July 25th, and will start at 7 p.m. All are invited.
