EPPS CELEBRATE IN WATER

The athletes and students at the Elizabeth Pemberton Primary School celebrated their fifth consecutive win of Zone B in the Interprimary athletics competition, in a unique way, on Friday 22nd April.

Unlike the St.Thomas’ Primary school, whose athletes had a Grand Island wide motorcade, the popular water Park which is generally located in the Cherry Gardens area, was brought to the Flats in Cole Hill on that day and the children celebrated in style.

Popular coach, Adelvin Phillip was absent as he was representing Nevis in a cricket match in St.Kitts. However, that did not spoil the party.
There were no big speeches but there was food and drink in galore.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the water slides; the pools, the obstacle course and just generally got wet, having fun.

On Tuesday 26th April, Headmistress Pemberton took a contingent of the students to the ET Willett Park to witness Coach Phillip in action, playing against the St.Maarten team.
Small wonder he scored a handsome half century!
