FIVE YEARS AND SEVEN MONTHS FOR POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION

Basseterre, St. Kitts,  February 09, 2016  (RSCNPF): Chase Hamilton of Bath Village Nevis,   was convicted and sentenced to five (5) years and seven (7) months  hard labour for a charge of Possession of Ammunition. He was sentenced in the Magistrate’s Court on Nevis (February 8) by the Learned Magistrate Her Honour Miss Donna Harris.

The offence occurred on September 18, 2015 in Bath Village.

This is the third sentence handed down this year for Possession of a Firearm and/or Ammunition.

In January, Vidal Wilkinson was sentenced to 3 years after being found guilty of the charge, Possession of a Firearm and 3 years after being found guilty of the charge Possession of Ammunition.

Adrian Webster was also sentenced to 3 years on each charge after being found guilty of the Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.

Both persons were charged after being found with illegal firearms during Police Stop and Search operations.
