Gingerland resident charged for smuggling illegal items into the Federation

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- The Gingerland resident who was arrested on Monday, October 6, 2014 after a joint operation by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force and HM Customs and Excise Department on Nevis uncovered two (2) firearms and a large quantity of matching rounds of ammunition has been formally charged.

The youngster has been identified as Caldre Chapman of Matchman’s Village, Gingerland.

This media house is unaware of how many charges have been brought against the youngster but according to reports, he has been charged with smuggling.

This media house has also learnt that additional charges are pending. These charges would most likely be possession of firearm and possession of ammunition.
