“I heard the cries of the community so I jumped into politics to help”, said Mr. Browne

Charlestown, Nevis ( Thursday, December 8th, 2016)-The “Surge with Virge” is on, as Mr. Virgil Browne the new Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) candidate for St. James Parish said he has thrown his hat in the political ring as he, “wants to help those in his community who are now suffering.”

Mr. Browne told listeners to Freedom FM Tuesday afternoon, that he has a gas station and convenience store in the St. James Parish area and he continuously hears the cries of the people as they say things have become economically challenging in Nevis.  “I want to empower the people. I want to help people own a little business and also put young people on the right track in any way that I can assist. I am ready to do it because I am not a talker, I am a doer”

Virgil Browne noted that, “When a community is able to stand on their own it makes for better living for all. The parish of St. James has far too long been lied to and used. The time has come for better in St. James.”

During the interview, Mr. Browne was asked by host EK, “Why did you join the NRP versus the  Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) or forming an additional party?”   Virgil very confidently said, “One reason why, is because the first leader of the NRP, Dr. Simeon Daniel was my cousin and my God father but the main reason I am on the NRP ticket is because I believe in the guys on the team and I believe in their policies.  I also believe that this is the team for me to partner with to bring real change to Nevis.”

A number of calls followed, congratulating Virgil on this move forward and wishing him the best of luck in his bid to be the area representative for St. James Parish.
