Indian Castle Fisher Folks Association (ICFFA) turn three years

The Hanleys’ Road based group Indian Castle Fisher Folks Association (ICFFA) turned three years old on Thursday 23rd June 2016.  The group was formed on June 23rd 2013 by a group of fishermen who ply their fishing trade at the Indian Castle Landing Site, Hanley’s Road.

As part of its aim the Indian Castle Fisher Folks Association encourages camaraderie, sportsmanship, conservation, community and social development, to educate its members on all areas of fishing and to enhance the livelihood of fishers.

Activities for the group commenced on Sunday, 26th June 2016 when members of the group worshipped at the Henry’s Memorial Wesleyan Holiness Church, Bucks Hill, Gingerland.

On Saturday 2nd July 2016 there will be a social evening at the Charles Walters Community Centre. The activities will climax on Sunday, 3rd July 2016 when members will show and share some love while they visit the sick in the community and share gift baskets.

President Stephen (Mackie) Moore would like to express on behalf of the group, his gratitude to all who supported and assisted in any way possible over the past three years and look forward for continued support.
