Inmate dies behind the walls of Her Majesty’s Prison

(BASSETRRE, ST. KITTS) – Information reaching this media house indicated that police are investigating the death of a prison inmate who died at Her Majesty’s Prison, Basseterre today Monday, September 09, 2013.

Dead, is thirty-one year old Glenn Webbe of Cardin Avenue in St. Kitts. The inmate died while awaiting trial at the Magistrate Court after being charged with carrying abroad an offensive weapon.

Nevispages understands that Webbe ate breakfast this morning and then began mingling with other inmates when all of a sudden he began feeling stomach pain. It is said that Webbe started to breathe heavily. He crouched down onto the floor in a lying position and never got back up.

Webbe died sometime around 7:30 a.m. leaving inmates and prison officers stunned by his sudden death.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of his demise.
