Cricket fans in the West Indies but more especially in the Leeward Islands will be watching with keen anticipation as the WICB regional series continues.
Word on the street is that Nevisian and West indies opener, Kieran Powell, who recently tried out with a Baseball team in the USA, was seen practising in the nets with the Leewards Hurricanes team, as they prepare for their encounter versus the Guyana Jaguars, this weekend in Antigua.
It is further understood that Powell will replace fellow Nevisian, Nelson Boland in the squad.
Powell is expected to bring his experience of 21 test matches to bear, to help to bolster the chances of the Hurricanes to hold back the Jaguars in this encounter.
Only time will tell, if the report is true.
