Juvenile attempts to bomb the Charlestown Police Station

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)– This morning Tuesday, July 08, 2014 around 10: 30 a.m. workers in close proximity to the Charlestown Police Station heard a loud explosion.

Inquires were made and information reaching this publication indicates that an explosive device was thrown at that back of the police station which resulted in the loud sound.

News reaching this media house indicated that one juvenile is currently in police custody helping with the investigations.

Nevispages has also learnt that another person is in police custody in relation to the robbery that occurred yesterday Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Government’s Supply Office which is located at the Pinney’s Industrial Site.

In more news updates, two females who were taken into police custody yesterday Monday, July 7, 2014 along with a male in relation to a gun possession matter were released without being charged.

Nevispages understands that the females were leaving the Long Point Port and asked a male for a ‘lift’. Officers stopped and searched the vehicle in which they were travelling and found a pistol in a box of soap powder that the male had earlier cleared at customs.

He remains in police custody.
