Man of Nevisian descent gunned down in St. Croix

The son of New Castle resident, Antonio ‘Finger’ Browne was gunned down in St. Croix on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Estate Mon Bijou.

Dead is 27, year old Jesus Browne. He was shot multiple times and died the same night at the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center.

The Unites States Virgin Islands Police Department website has reported that the Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives on St. Croix are investigating the fatal shooting that occurred in Estate Mon Bijou on July 1, 2014.

The website stated that police responded to a call after shots were fired and a man was reported down just before 10:30 p.m. It further stated that police observed the unresponsive body of the victim on the ground between two parked vehicles.

Further information revealed that Jesus Browne was incarcerated and was recently released after being sentenced in connection with a murder that occurred in 2010.
