Media blitz in Puerto Rico

The Honourable Mark Brantley, Minister of Tourism in the Nevis Island Administration traveled to Puerto Rico today to meet with Media personnel there in a major Media event slated for Wednesday June 11th, 2014.

The island of Nevis is seeking to heighten its presence in the Puerto Rican travel market. With some 100 available seats per day from San Juan to the Vance Amory International Airport through Cape Air, Seaborne Airlines and Tradewind Aviation, the island of Nevis stands to benefit from greater promotion of the island’s tourism product in the large Puerto Rican market.

Expected to attend the Media event are a wide cross section of the major Media houses in Puerto Rico including El Nuevo Día, Negocios, El Nuevo Día, De Viaje, MPR Noticias, Caribbean Business, Vive la Vida, Go, Empresarios Magazine and El Vocero.

Minister Brantley sees this as a major new initiative for Nevis and sees real possibilities for opening up the Nevis market to discerning Puerto Rican travelers. “Whether its for golf, fishing, spa, fine dining or the amazing history, culture, warmth and hospitality of the Nevisian people, we believe that the people of Puerto Rico will see Nevis as a convenient and exciting destination to holiday or enjoy a weekend reprieve from the hustle and bustle of San Juan”, Minister Brantley said.

The Minister is accompanied on the trip by Chief Executive Officer of the Nevis Tourism Authority, Greg Phillip and Ms Angelique France who handles Caribbean promotions at the Nevis Tourism Authority.
