Montserrat Crown Champions of the L.I Regional U15 Tournament 2014 Match Result.

Montserrat was crown Champions of the Leeward Islands Regional U15 Tournament, yesterday Sunday 20th April 2014, after defeating St. Kitts in the final match of the Tournament.

St. Kitts won the toss and elected to bat first and were restricted to 82 all out in 30 overs of their allotted 35 overs. Batting for st. Kitts, k’ Von Esdaile 20, Cordel Romney 12, Beres Wilkinson and Shevon Pemberton 10.
Bowling for Montserrat, Zawandi White 4 for 15 from 7 overs, Chinmay Gopal 3 for 11 from 7 overs, k, Cabey 2 for 11 from 3 overs and Jemuel Cabey 1 for 14 from 6 overs.

Montserrat in reply to st. Kitts 82, made 175 for 6 in their allotted 35 overs, Zawandi White continue his good form and dominance with the bat making 63, Jemuel Cabey 42, K. Woods 21, Chinmay Gopal 12 and K. Cabey 11, were the other runs scorers.

Bowling for st. Kitts, Javrel Alford, k’. Von Esdaile, Shaquan Pemberton, Beres wilkinson and Tariq Newman all got 1 wicket.
St. Kitts in their second innings, trailing by 93 Runs, reach 56 for 6 in their allotted 15 overs. Beres Wilkinson 18 and Petrez Williams 12 were the only bats men to score double figures.

The Tournament concluded with a brief Awards ceremony, which president of St. Kitts Cricket Association Mr. Stanley Franks Jnr.
Leeward Islands territorial Development Officer Mr. Junie Mitcham and President of Leeward Island Cricket Association Mr. Auckland Hector address the participants. Secretary of LICA Mr. Robert Jeffers Chaired the Proceedings.
The following persons were awarded for their outstanding performances.
Bats man with the Most Runs: Zawandi White of Montserrat, scored a Total of 294 Runs with a highest of 144 versus Anguilla.
Bowler with the Most Wickets, Zawandi White of Montserrat, took 17 Wickets. With a best of 4 for 7 from 6 overs versus Anguilla.
Best Wicket Keeper: Joshua Grant of Montserrat.
MVP of the Tournament: Zawandi White of Montserrat.

St. Kitts won the toss and asked Antigua to bat first, and made 162 for 3 from their allotted 35 overs. Batting for Antigua were Uri Smith 53, Asha Cornelius 45 and Paul Miller 31.

Bowling for St. Kitts, Jerrellius louis, Tariq Newman and Shaquan Pemberton got 1 wicket.

St. Kitts in reply to Antigua 162, were off to a comfortable start with Shaquan Pemberton and k’ Von Esdaile put on a 34 runs opening partnership, before K’ Von Esdaile were out for 4. Jerrellius Louis then join Shaquan Pemberton, bot batman then put on a 56 runs third wicket partnership, before shaquan Pemberton was out caught for 30 with the score on 90. After the wicket of Pemberton Louis found little support, however he made valiant attempt in overhauling the 162 made by Antigua , but after he was out caught attempting a lofted shot over deep mid wicket for 58, St. Kitts then fell short by 17 runs and made 145 for 6 in their allotted 35 overs.

Bowling for Antigua, Tariq Benjamin 3 for 30 from 7 over, demari Benta 2 for 5 from 4 overs, Uri Smith and Alphonso Isaac got 1 wicket.

Antigua having a lead of 17, made 95 for 1 in their allotted 13 overs in their second innings. Paul miller 49 not out and Uri Smith 26 were the top scorers.

Javrel Alford 1 for 11 in 2 overs were the lone wicket taker for St. Kitts.

St. Kitts needing 113 to win in thei allotted 13 overs, reach 59 for 7. Petrez Williams 20 and tariq Newman 17 were the only batsman to reach double figures.

Bowling for Antigua, kadeem henery 4 for 5 from 2 overs, Tariq Benjamin, Demari Benta and elroy francis got 1 wicket.

Antigua won by 54 runs.

Nevis vs Anguilla, match played at EWP in Nevis. The match had to be reduce to 30 over per side due to over night rain.

Anguilla won the toss send Nevis to bat first. Nevis made 201 for 4 from their allotted 30 overs, batting for Nevis,Tewan Prentice 42, Trishawn Francis 37 not out, Shevon Jeffers 31, Marcus Duberry 20 and Ryan Powell 17.

Bowling for Anguilla, Dimitrius Adams 2 for 29 from 6 overs and Shaquan Ferguson 1 for 42 from 6 overs.

Anguilla in reply to Nevis 201, were bowled out for 15.

Bowling for Nevis, Patricia Stapleton 4 for 1 from 5 overs, Kian Ppemberton, Andrea Arthurton, Bognarine Sharma got 2 wickets.
