The Nevis female cricket team, continues its intense preparations for the upcoming Leeward Islands female cricket tournament.
On Thursday 16th March, the young ladies engaged a Nevis under 15 team at the ET Willet Park.
The under 15 team batted first and scored freely to chalk up an impregnable 176 for 2 in just 18 overs: Carlon Tuckett got 61 retired out and Patrice Nisbett scored 51, also retired out. Justin Holmer got 23 not out.
For the ladies, the Dookeran sisters got one wicket each.
When the female team batted, they were reduced to 85 for 7 in their 18 overs. Rozel Liburd scored 25 Senaldo Willet got 20.
For the youth cricketers, Patrice Nisbett got 2 wickets for 6 runs; Randolph Seegolam 2 for 16, while Tijari Clarke; Giyan Griffin; Akadianto Willet and James Swanston, all got one wicket each.
The ladies will now engage their counterparts from St.Kitts, in a practice match slated for the ET Willet Park on Saturday 18th March, starting at 10 am.
