Nevis records its second murder for 2015

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- This media house has learnt that last night, Thursday, January 29, 2015 Javan ‘Batly’ Bartlette of Bath Village was shot to death while he was in the yard of Kevin’s Bakery, also located in Bath Village. Reports are that two masked gunmen, dressed in black clothing, approached him and opened fire on him.

Further information revealed that Bartlette tried to escape his attackers by running towards a back gate. However, it is alleged that he fell in the process, and at that time the gunmen took his life.

Nevispages understands that he died on the scene.

On Friday, January 9, 2015 Devron ‘Kobe’ Griffin of Rawlins Village, Gingerland was gunned down just outside of his Rawlins Village home on Friday, January 9, 2014 sometime after 10:00 p.m. The popular bus driver received multiple gunshots to his body while still being seated in the driver’s seat of his omnibus.

Devron is schedule to be buried tomorrow, Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Gingerland Methodist Church.

Police investigations into both homicides continue.
