The World Bank Group has launched a recruitment drive aimed at increasing the number of Caribbean professionals in its work force. This commitment to hire Caribbean nationals reflects the Bank Group’s senior leadership commitment for a diverse workforce in which Caribbean nationals can play a key role in fighting poverty and increasing shared prosperity. This 2016 recruitment drive is seeking highly qualified professionals who are looking for an exciting career, where their efforts will contribute to our goal of ending extreme poverty and promoting shared prosperity. Career opportunities are available within the World Bank (IBRD) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), for positions to be located in Washington, D.C. or one of our regional offices.

 If you are a highly motivated individual who possesses a passion for international development and are skilled in areas relevant to the World Bank’s operations such as economics, finance, education, public health, social sciences, infrastructure, urban planning or natural resource management, we would like to hear from you. Minimum qualifications for entry-level positions include a Master’s degree plus 5 years of relevant professional experience. For mid-career professionals, the minimum requirements are a Master’s degree plus 8 years of relevant professional experience. Ideal candidates for these positions must have a demonstrated capacity for strategic thinking, the ability to conduct dialogue on relevant development policies and priorities, and fluency in English. Fluency or proficiency in other languages, in particular Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Spanish, or Russian is preferred.
