The Violent Crime Unit is investigating a shooting incident which occurred last night (3 February 2015 about 8:15pm) at Sandy Point that resulted in one person fatally wounded and another warded at the hospital.
Initial investigation revealed that “Judgement” Francis 26 years originally of Parsons Village but residing at Sandy Point and Brian Wilkinson 21years of Cleverly Hill were attacked by armed masked assailants while walking along an alley east of the Wesleyan Holiness Church. Francis Succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Four persons are in custody assisting with the investigation.
Commissioner CG Walwyn takes this opportunity on behalf of himself and his family, and the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force to extend condolences and words of comfort to the bereaved family and friends of the deceased. Also, he extends words comfort to family and friends of Brian Wilkinson.
