One person injured in an armed robbery incident at a local bar

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- One person was injured last night Tuesday, June 10, 2014 when masked gunmen entered the ‘Squeeze Dem Up Bar’ in Brick Kiln Village and robbed the patrons at gunpoint.

News reaching this publication indicates that at about 9:50 p.m. three masked gunmen entered the establishment and robbed the owner, Danville Mills of Brick Kiln Village along with other persons who were present at the bar.

During the robbery a youngster who was also present was shot by one of the assailants. He was later identified as Shem Browne.

Browne was later transported to the Alexandra Hospital where he is now a patient. It is alleged that he was shot in his foot.

This robbery follows that of George Hunkins who was tied up and robbed at his Marion Heights home on Monday, June 9, 2014 by masked gunmen.

Investigation into these matters continue.
