BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, DECEMBER 8TH 2014 (CUOPM) – St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas will present to lawmakers the Draft Estimates for the financial year 2015 at Tuesday’s Budget Session of the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly.
Clerk of the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly, Mr. Jose Lloyd said Prime Minister Douglas will first lay on the Table the Report of the Director of Audit on the Accounts for 2013 and the Draft Estimates for 2015.
Following the Introduction and First Reading of The Appropriation (2015) Bill, 2014, Prime Minister Douglas in his capacity as Minister of Finance, will present the Budget Address on the Second Reading.
The Appropriation Act provides for the services of St. Kitts and Nevis for the financial year from January 1st 2015 to December 31st 2015.
The Appropriation provides EC$523 million eight hundred and twenty-seven thousand one hundred and twelve dollars in total recurrent, capital and net lending charges and a further EC$198 million six hundred and eleven thousand one hundred one hundred and sixty one dollars Provided By Law for a total of seven hundred and twenty-two million four hundred and thirty-eight thousand two hundred and seventy three dollars.
