(BASSETERRE, ST.KITTS)- Police Officers this afternoon Thursday, January 15, 2015 confirmed that they are investigating a shooting incident which occurred in Bird Rock this morning, resulting in one person being injured.
Initial investigations revealed that Carla Hendrickson of Bird Rock was shot in her motor car in front of her residence by unknown assailants at around 8: 10 a.m. this morning.
The report also indicated that the victim suffered from non-life threatening injuries. She was transported to JNF Hospital for treatment. Crime Scene Unit processed the scene and evidence was taken into police custody.
Police are asking anyone who has information pertaining to this incident to contact the Violent Crime Unit on St. Kitts at 467-1886, 467-1887, and 662-9336; on Nevis at 469-5269 and 662-7057, the nearest police, or Crime stoppers at 1-800-8477 (TIPS).
In May 2014, Hendrickson and Dwayne Martin were jointly charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Supply and Possession of Firearm and Ammunition.
The couple is presently out on bail.
