Police Investigating Late Night Shooting In Basseterre

Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 07, 2015 (RSCNPF): The Royal St.Christopher and Nevis Police Force is investigating a shooting of a male individual in the Basseterre area around midnight (Friday, November 07).

According to Police reports, the Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) is currently investigating the shooting of Akil Clavier, 27, aka “Jiah” of Spooner’s Village, Cayon. Reports indicate he received several gunshot injuries while driving his motor car P3053 in the Basseterre area.

He was transported to the J. N. F General Hospital where he was treated and detained for injuries to his back. His condition is listed as critical.
The investigation is ongoing.
