Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 23, 2016 (RSCNPF): The Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) is investigating a shooting incident in Basseterre that has resulted in injuries to one person.
The shooting occurred at around 11.15pm on Friday (July 22).
Initial investigations revealed that a 31 year old male was shot on the Bay Road by an unknown masked assailant. He was taken to the Joseph N. France General Hospital for treatment.
Investigators from the Violent Crimes Unit and the Criminal Investigations Department and technicians from the Forensics Services Unit have canvassed the scene for evidence.
The investigation continues.
