POLICE INVESTIGATING SHOOTING IN CAYON

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 28, 2015 (RSCNPF): The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is currently investigating a shooting incident which occurred in Cayon around 8:40pm on Sunday (September 27).

According to ACP Queeley, the Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibility for Criminal Investigations, “Officers of the Violent Crimes Unit are investigating the shooting which left one individual hospitalized.”

The victim, Imran Christopher, 23 years old of Lower Cayon was on his way home when he was attacked by two (2) unknown assailants who discharged their firearms at him and wounding him in jaw, arm and shoulder.  He was rushed to the Joseph N. France General Hospital by a private vehicle, where he remains warded in stable condition.

“We urge anyone with information that can assist the police in this crime, or any other crime to call any Police Station in the Federation or Crime Stoppers, our confidential hotline at 1-800-8477 to share information,” stressed ACP Queeley.
