POLICE PRESS RELEASE 25042016(03) REPORT OF ARREST, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES.‏

Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 25, 2016 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrest and or Convictions from the records of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for period 21-24 April.

ARRESTS/BAILED:

Arrested: Lashawn Hendrickson of Buckley’s and two (2) Juveniles were arrested, formally charged and cautioned on six warrants in the first instance for Building Breaking with intent and three warrants in the first instance for Building Breaking and Larceny, committed at Rams Food Court, Bird Rock.

Arrested: Kareem Hanley of Half Way Tree was arrested, formally charged and cautioned without an warrant for the offence threatening Language, Disorderly conduct by making noise and obstruction.

Arrested/Bailed: Kevin Pierre of Lake Drive Lower Shadwell was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Wounding, Battery and Threatening language. He was granted bail in the amount of $10,000.00 and ordered to appear at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on May 9, 2016.

Bailed: Geran Jarvis of Lodge Project who was formally arrested charged and cautioned for making use of threatening language tending to a breach of the peace was granted bail in the sum of $1000 and ordered to the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday, 9th May, 2016 at 9:00 am in the forenoon.

COURT CONVICTION:
In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court presided by Her Honour Ms Josephine Mallalieu Troy Francis of Cayon was charged for the offence of Simple Larceny to wit a Silver Motor Car. Francis pleaded guilty to the offence and was sentenced to two (2) years imprisonment with hard labour.

OTHER ACTIVITY:
Building Breaking and Larceny: Police are investigating a report of Building Breaking and Larceny by the owner of the Chinese Restaurant located at Cayon Street in the vicinity of the Police Credit Union. Investigations revealed the property was secured about 10.00pm on April 19, and upon return around 10.00am on April 20 discovered the restaurant had been broken into and ten (10) Magnums, one cash pan containing $300.00 E.C.C and one (1) TCR television set value $1400.00 missing. The investigation continues.

Building Breaking and Larceny: Police are investigating reports of Building Breaking and Larceny at the Rams Food Court on the Bay Road. Investigations have revealed that the owners of a several units reported that their unit were broken into and items were missing. The incident occurred sometime 19-20 April. The investigation continues. Arrest has been made and suspects charged in this incident.

Marijuana Plants Uprooted: A joint patrol of Police and SKNDF returned from reported that they uprooted three hundred and twenty-eight cannabis plants ranging from seedlings to 4 feet in height from the Franklands Area. All plants were seized by the officers.

Traffic Accidents: Police investigated a number of traffic accidents on the Federations roadways over the weekend.

Police continues to conduct Vehicular Check Points and or Stop and Searches and several searches of abandoned properties. The check points and searches were done in efforts to ensure Citizen Safety, by removing any found Illegal Firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs, and other instruments that can be used to commit crimes
