REPORT OF ARREST, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 10, 2016 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of and Arrest, Convictions and other Activities from the records of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force. For period Sunday 8 – Monday 09 May.
 
ARREST AND OR BAIL:
Arrested: Adegborioye Ajibola of St Johnston Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on an E Form for the offences of  driving without a valid and unexpired drivers license and for not being covered by a policy of insurance.  He was granted bail in the sum of five thousand dollars dollars ($5,000.00) and ordered to appear at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Tuesday 10th May 2016 at 9 o’clock in the forenoon.
 
Arrested:  Dwight Dore of Butlers was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Larceny which was committed between 1st and 24th October 2015 at Nugents Heights.
 
Arrested: Diewan Phillip of  Jessups Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on a Warrant in  the First Instance for the offence of Malicious Damage committed in the Cherry Garden Housing Development on May, 7, 2016.
 
Arrested:  Damian Hendrickson of Garden Housing Project was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on a Warrant in the First Instance for the offence of Maliciously Wounding committed on Friday, May 6 at Basseterre.
 
Bailed:  Daryl Tuckett of Bird Rock who was charged for larceny of motorcycle parts was granted bail in the sum of $5,000.00xcd and ordered to report to the District Magistrate court on July 4, 2016.  Bail was granted with the following conditions: report to the Basseterre Police Station every Friday between 06:00am and 06:00pm and observe a curfew at his parents residence between 06:00am and 09:00pm.
 
Bailed:  Gavin Richardson of Bird Rock who was charged for receiving stolen motorcycle parts was granted bail in the sum of $5,000.00xcd.  He was ordered to appear at the Distict Magistrate Court on July 4, 2016.  Bail was grated with the following condition:  report at the Basseterre Police Station every Friday between 06:00am and 06:00pm.
 
Bailed: Fabien Isaac of Ottleys Village who was previously bailed for the offence of Unlawful Wounding and upon appearing to answer the said bail, it was surrendered. He was later granted bail in the sum of $10, 000.00xcd two conditions: A. To report to the Cayon Police Station every Wednesday between 06:00am and 06:00pm, B. To keep 100 feet away from the Virtual Complainant.  He was ordered to appear before the District Magistrate on  July 4, 2016.
 
COURT CONVICTIONS:
None to report.
  
OTHER ACTIVITY:
Police on Nevis are investigating a report of Larceny at a construction site in Charlestown.  Investigations have revealed that an unknown assailant(s) went onto the site and took batteries from a generator and a forklift at the site.  Investigation is ongoing.
 
A combined patrol of Police and SKNDF reported that it discovered and uprooted eighty-nine (89) marijuana plants ranging from three feet to nine feet in height from Verchilds Village.
 
– Officers of the Frigate Bay Police with assistance from other officers reported the discovery and uprooting two Hundred (200) marijuana plants ranging from seedlings to three feet in height from over at South East Peninsular in the vicinity of an ongoing construction project. The plants were seized by Police.  Incident occurred on May 9, 2016.
– Police continues to conduct vehicular check point, stop and searches and searches of abandoned house and lots. This activity in an ongoing effort to remove illegal firearms, drugs and instruments that can be used to commit crimes from our communities. 
 
The traffic department is investigating a number of traffic accidents on the Federation’s roadways.  Drivers are encouraged to use due care while driving. 
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS:  The Police School Liaison continue to visit assigned Primary and Secondary Schools in the Federation.  The effort is to encourage good citizenship among our youth.
