Shooting victim succumbed to his injuries

(BASETERRE, ST. KITTS)- Police in St. Kitts are investigating a shooting incident that took place this morning Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Paul Southwell Industrial Park in the vicinity of the Fisheries Complex.

News reaching the publication indicates that at about 8:00 a.m. gunmen opened fire and shot a male multiple times about his body as he was traveling along a dirt path.

Police has indentified the man as Shawmon Herbert of Taylor’s Village, St. Kitts. Herbert’s was transported to JNF Hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.

Pictures circling the media show Herbert lying face down on a dirt road dressed in a white shirt, jeans and white Nike draggers. Blood stains were visible on his shirt and trousers.

Police are asking anyone who may have any information pertaining to this matter to call the Violent Crime Unit at 467-1886, 1887, 1888 or the nearest Police Station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 {TIPS}.
