SKN PATRIOTS DEFEAT PREMIER’S X1

Hundreds of enthusiastic spectators showed up at the ET Willet Park in Nevis, to witness the much anticipated practice match between the SKN Patriots and the Premier’s X1. The match was played on Saturday 25th June.

The Patriots team was met at the Charlestown Pier by officials of the Sports Department and then transported to the Park for the historic encounter.

The franchise team won the toss and elected to bat first. They eventually got to a competitive 178 for 7 from their allotted 20 overs, with local hero, Kieran Powell, top scoring with a half century.

When the Premier’s X1, which was captained by Tonito Willet, responded, they could only muster 137 for 5 from their 20 overs.

However, the game was played at a very high standard and the crowd was well and truly entertained.
