TDC encourages the public to ‘Think Pink’ in October

Basseterre, St. Kitts – The TDC Group of Companies continues its Corporate commitment to support breast cancer awareness through its ‘Think Pink’ promotional and sales campaign during the month of October.

All of the TDC retail outlets in St. Kitts and Nevis are having a pink ribbon sale, offering patrons up to seventy-five percent discount on all pink ribbon or pink tagged items throughout the stores.

This year, another activity has been added to the list of incentives; the Pink Friday Flash Sales, where the public can get a variety of exclusive offers on selected products at the Home and Building Depots.

The popular Pink Bingo, which was introduced in 2014, also forms part of the activities. For as little as one dollar (EC$1), customers select a number from specially designed pink bingo cards to qualify for a chance to win a number of fabulous prizes in a series of weekly draws.

All of the funds raised at the end of the month from the initiative will be pooled, and donated to the St. Kitts-Nevis Breast Cancer Patients Assistance Fund, which has been providing much needed financial resources to assist persons who have been affected by the disease, since 2008.

The “Pink Room” will also be opened on Saturday 17th, 24th and 31st October to women and men giving them access to free breast screenings by a team of certified and trained health professionals, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The sessions will include counselling and referral services, where necessary, to further reinforce the message that early detection saves lives.

Every year, cancer touches more and more families with approximately 1.4 million people being diagnosed. The need for ground-breaking treatment and ultimately a cure has motivated the local company to play an active role in developing programmes to find ways to cope with the reality.
