Director of Sports on Nevis, Jamir Claxton, has confirmed that two ongoing Football tournaments have been postponed until early in the upcoming year.
Speaking on Thursday, Claxton was making reference to the local Football tournament, hosted by the Nevis Football Association and the youth tournament, being hosted by his department and specifically coordinated by Leroy JUN-JUN Sweeney.
Apparently, there was an original thought of matches being played for this weekend, but due to the fact that the ET Willett Park is being readied for the swearing in ceremony of the new Nevis Island Administration, scheduled for Sunday, the proposed matches have been pushed back to early in January 2018.
