UK based St. Kitts and Nevis Friends Association donates to Pink Lily

Press Release

(CHARLESTOWN,Nevis,March 25, 2014)- The Chair of UK based St. Kitts and Nevis Friends Association, Randolph Charles, last week handed over a 400 pounds cheque donation to Pink Lily Cancer Care Chair,Tracy Parris.

Charles, who is on his annual vacation in his home island said the money was raised through a raffle during the association’s annual dinner.

“We have an annual dinner dance and it is fairly successful because people come from all over England and we have a wonderful time. We can only accommodate 200 people at a time which means a lot of people are not able to get tickets,” Charles said.

He explained how the members of the association raised the funds: “We have a raffle and what we try to do is to raise funds to support a good cause in the Federation. Pink Lily was chosen this time round.”

He was optimistic that the Association and Pink Lily Cancer Care would stay connected: “If you can keep links with us, we can actually promote what you are doing. This is not the first connection we have had in Nevis. We have supported the eye clinic and various other activities.”

Pink Lily Chair, Tracy Parris who is also the Clients Support Coordinator thanked Mr Charles for the donation,“I would like to say a big thank you to Mr Charles and his organisation for choosing Pink Lily and for giving Pink Lily this wonderful donation. We will keep in touch with him and his organisation and inform him of our activities.”
