Water Department Sports Club Host Successful Weekend Of Activities

The Nevis Water Department’s Sports club successfully hosted the annual regional games for persons in related departments across the region, over the last weekend.

Quite a number of islands were represented for the fun-filled weekend of activities. These included: Host Nevis; St. Kitts; Barbados; Grenada; Dominica; St. Lucia; St. Vincent; Montserrat; Antigua; Jamaica; Trinidad and Tobago

The busy weekend saw an opening ceremony and cocktail on Thursday 13th April; Sports day on Friday 14th which focused mainly on fun games such as dominoes; sack races; lime and spoon and more. The sports segment was won by team Grenada.

Saturday 15th was a social evening; Sunday 16th saw many of the participants going to church and the weekend ended with a grand island tour on Monday 17th April, climaxing with a grand beach bash.

The closing ceremony was also held that same evening.

Many of the participants expressed their heartfelt gratitude for a splendid time, to chief coordinator Franklyn KUT Daniel and his team and to the Nevis island community on a whole.

Next year’s games are scheduled for Tobago.
