A NOTE OF GRATITUDE – From the newly crowned, Miss Jaycees Queen, Nekirah Nicholls 🇰🇳👑

Source: St. Kitts & Nevis National Carnival :
Just after midnight on Thursday, July 28th- I captured the 59th Jaycees Crown for my beautiful twin-island Federation of St. Kitts-Nevis.

It was an honor and privilege to don my country’s name, backed by the overwhelming support of my people. You were truly the wind beneath my wings! We are small but we tallawah! Thank You, St. Kitts-Nevis!

To my Mommy, Asenath Phipps – words are inadequate. Your love, dedication and support are unconditional, steadfast and pillars of everything I needed for this journey. Your support knows no bounds and your love has no limit. You are dependable, ever-present and if you ask me, you are the real Queen here! Thank you for just about… everything!

I am indebted to the St. Kitts-Nevis National Carnival Committee for their kind support and sponsorship. I also extend a hearty thank you for such a warm welcome home. I truly felt like royalty. I must however make special mention of the National Carnival Chair Lady, Shannon Hawley, who went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that I had everything I needed to secure this victory. My sincere gratitude is also extended to Trevicia Adams and Hazel Webster. Thank you for making the entire process seamless and comfortable.

I am ever so thankful for my indomitable pageant coach, Ozelle Martin. Thank you for always ensuring that I was well prepared for all of my segments. I am especially appreciative of the way you have revolutionized my approach to the interview segment. We are now officially 3 for 3 in Interview wins. Whoa! You are a wellspring of strength, optimism and resilience on and off the stage. Without a doubt, none of this would have been possible without you.

To my Power House Team – Heidi Slack, Kaeve Armstrong, Kajali Hanley-Gumbs, Siobhan Phipps, Dylan Browne, Julie Martin, Tomeeka Richards, Atiba Byron, Leanne Walters, Andrea Nicholls, Shara-Lee Mourillon, Hadya Dolphin, SKNANB Risk and Compliance Unit- Thank you for believing in me and sticking by my side.

Thank you to Blue Torch Productions and its assistants for such an exceptional promotional video. (Fun Fact: all shots were done in 24hrs) To Caribelle Batik, I am grateful for your kind assistance with my wardrobe.

To the Jaycees Committee, your hospitality is unmatched! I am blessed to have had the opportunity to meet such beautiful souls. Kudos to the Jaycees Queen Show Production Team for ensuring the show was close to flawless. To the 58th Jaycees Queen, ShannaKisha Francis, thank you for making the transition so pleasant and seamless.

Congratulations to all of my fellow pageant queens, especially 1st Runner Up, Miss Trinidad & Tobago, Chronna Khan and 2nd Runner Up, Miss St. Lucia, Wenia Verneuil. It was a pleasure gracing the stage with you all and we sure did have some fun!

I must acknowledge my sweet feisty Asha DeSuza (love you loads), Shoreline Plaza, my trainer, Paula Collins, the Ministry of Tourism, JAy Black Productions, First Class Jewelry, Dr. Darryl Warner, Desi Brown, Saskia Evans, Sanara Bussue, Theodore Phipps, SKNANB, NCI, Fitzroy Nicholls, family, friends and supporters.

ST. KITTS AND NEVIS- I love you and Thank You for trusting me and my team to represent you! Pageantry is no easy feat but it ignited a powerful period of evolution in my adult life. I am proud to bear witness to my growth.
I am excited for this new chapter with JCI Antigua and please stay tuned to my social media channels. I have some exciting content on the way!
