Annual Runako Morton–TDC Nevis Primary Schools’ Cricket Tournament Set to Bowl Off

The excitement of youth cricket returns to Nevis on Monday, June 22, 2026, when the annual Runako Morton–TDC Nevis Primary Schools’ Cricket Tournament officially bowls off at the ETW Park.

The tournament, which honours the memory of the late West Indies cricketer Runako Morton and continues to nurture the island’s young cricketing talent, will commence with an opening ceremony beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Immediately following the ceremony, defending pride and school spirit will be on full display as St. Thomas’ Primary School takes on Ivor Walters Primary School in the opening match of the competition.

Cricket fans will not have to wait long for more action. Later that same day, beginning at 1:30 p.m., Charlestown Primary School will square off against VOJN Primary School in what promises to be another exciting contest.

The tournament has become one of the highlights of the school sports calendar, providing a platform for young cricketers to showcase their talents, develop teamwork and sportsmanship, and pursue their dreams of representing Nevis and the wider Federation at higher levels of the game.

Parents, teachers, students and cricket enthusiasts are encouraged to come out and support the young athletes as they compete for honours in what is expected to be another memorable edition of the Runako Morton–TDC Nevis Primary Schools’ Cricket Tournament.
