Antigua & Barbuda rocked by Boxing Day earthquake

Some residents of Antigua and Barbuda were awakened early on Boxing Day by the rumblings of an earthquake, which occurred near the islands.

The UWI Seismic Research Centre said the quake, which occurred around 6:30 am, had a magnitude of 3.8.

The quake’s epicentre was off the coast of Barbuda at a depth of 52.9 kilometres.
