Nevis athletics continues to reach new heights, with several athletes officially qualifying for the 2026 CARIFTA Games, marking significant milestones for the island.
Jayden Hendrickson has secured qualification in the 400m hurdles, making history as the first athlete from Nevis to ever qualify for a hurdles event at the CARIFTA Games. His achievement represents a groundbreaking moment for Nevis athletics and highlights the continued growth of the sport on the island.
Also earning a qualification is Najeeb Kelly, who booked his spot in the 1500m. His accomplishment reflects exceptional dedication, discipline, and consistent hard work on the track.
Both Hendrickson and Kelly proudly represent the Immortals Track Club, whose commitment to athlete development and excellence continues to produce outstanding results.
Additionally, Shandon Burton of Nevis has met the CARIFTA qualifying standard in the Under-17 1500m, further strengthening Nevis’ presence at the regional championships.
