Athletics : Nevis Knockout Set to Commence Mid-September

The NEVIS KNOCKOUT is definitely on!

Representatives of the SKN Moves Nevis Chapter, revealed the good news at a press conference, held at the Administration Building in Charlestown, on Wednesday 31st August.

It will be the third calendar event of 2022, to be hosted by the SKN Moves-Nevis Chapter.

The dynamic Shelagh James chaired the proceedings.

The following information was revealed:

The event will be a fun but challenging exercise, between Private and Public sector teams, which will test the speed and endurance of the participants, over the set obstacle courses at the FIT Park.

A total of 32 individuals are expected to compete for the top prizes.

It will be a process of elimination, over a period of four consecutive weeks, commencing on Saturday 17th September and concluding on Saturday 8th October, when the top two teams will battle for supremacy.

Competitors will seek to complete their best times in teams of two.

The fastest eight teams in week one will go on to the next round, while the eight slowest teams will be eliminated.

The main sponsor of the event is MASA-St. Kitts and Nevis-(The Medical Air Services Association), which is ever ready to fly out its members to better health care services overseas, if the need arises, at a cheap and affordable rate.

Regional manager, Mr. Dwayne Strawn and Ag. Sales Manager, Ms. Marlah Hobson, were both present and sanctioned the event, emphasizing the need for people to live healthy lives, so that they can enjoy more quality time, with their loved ones.

They also made the grand announcement, that if anyone signs up with MASA on any of the days of the challenge, the initiation fee will be waived for those individuals.

Other sponsors of the event are The Nevis Island Administration, Delisle Walwyn, Beach Additions, the Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Center and the Fit Wellness Center.

Each participant will receive a participatory medal, a certificate and an SKN Moves –Nevis Chapter rosette.
The top three prizes are:

1st prize: 4 zip lining experience-courtesy of Delilse Walwyn –St. Kitts

2nd prize: Discover sail experience for two, for a duration of two hours-provided by Beach Additions, St. Kitts and the Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Center.

The offer expires 6 months from the date of issue on 8th October.

3rd prize: Health package and bundle for two persons, courtesy of Fit Wellness Center.

Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Ms. Latoya Jeffers, also heartily recommended the activity to the members of the general public and urged them to sign up quickly.
