Word has been received, that local Nevisian sprint star, Kamarley Newton, who recently acquired a scholarship to further his education in the USA, has commenced his on-track activities on a high note.
On Saturday 20th January, Newton in his first indoor race at the Dr Luther King Collegiate Invitational, placed first in his 200m heat.
He finished 6th in 21.12 out of 16 overall in the finals.
This is considered to be an outstanding performance by him, as he was up against the top collegiate athletes in the USA
