Bandits attempts to break into Principal’s office at CSS

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- While the Head Master of the Charlestown Secondary School should have been focused on ensuring a successful graduation today Wednesday, November 12, 2014, he was distracted by the disturbing news that someone tried to break into his office.

News reaching this publication indicates that on the evening of Tuesday, November, 2014 a person or persons tried to gain entry to the Principal’s Office by destroying two glass windows in the office.

Nevispages spoke to the Principal of the school, Mr. Edson Elliott who indicated that the forcibly entry into the room was unsuccessful because of the presence of burglar bars on the windows. Elliot was of the view also that the attempt to commit such an act was probably due to the fact that the school’s graduation ceremony was set for today, and that there may have been valuables stored in the office.

The Principal stated that the perpetrator was unable to gain entry into the office. Consequently, there would be little evidence to work, since the surveillance cameras are installed inside the office. He continued, “I don’t know what they expected to get out of the office besides papers”.

Mr. Elliott indicated that the matter is currently being investigated.
