Camp Refresh 2018 Underway

Charlestown-Nevis—Director at the Community Development Department, Mrs. Janet Meloney, is encouraging parents to send their children to the 2018 Camp Refresh, hosted by her Department.
The camp commenced on Monday 16th July and will run through to Friday 27th July.
The Camp is being hosted at four venues: The Joycelyn Liburd Primary School; the Franklyn Browne Community Center; the Jessups Community Center and the Masie Bartlette Community Center.

The theme for this year is: ‘Enhancing character and community through traditional values.’
The registration fee is only $40.00 for the two weeks or $20.00 per week and will run from 9 am until 2 pm daily. The focus is on children ages 5 to 16 years.

The average day will include devotion and praise; a session on values (contentment, thankfulness, honesty etc.); session on healthy living; story telling; poetry; game time (with a practical focus on conflict resolution).
Some days will also include movies; puppet show; making of craft; gardening; cooking class; sewing class and field trips.
Several guest speakers from within the community, will also be utilized.
Mrs. Meloney is assuring parents that their children will be helped in their holistic development in a significant way.
