Carlon Smithen to Be Honoured

PRO of the Rawlins Community group, Michael Herbert, has indicated that talented opening batsman, Carlon Smithen, is set to receive special honour, during the upcoming Christmas tree lighting ceremony, in Rawlins Village.

The Christmas tree lighting ceremony is slated for this coming Saturday night-21st December and is expected to commence promptly at 7 pm.

The outstanding cricketer has received the signal honour of being the patron of the event.

During the ceremony, Smithen will receive a special award and the entire Rawlins team members who totally dominated the recent tape ball Cricket tournament, held at the ET Willet Park, will receive medals.

Other distinguished sons and daughters of the Rawlins community, who have contributed much in Tourism, Education and Agriculture will also receive special awards.

The very next evening, Sunday, December 24th, the Rawlins community will host ‘the biggest party of the year,’ according to Herbert.
