Charlestown Primary Defeats Ivor Walters Primary by 17 Runs
Charlestown Primary School (CPS) posted 108 for 3, anchored by an unbeaten innings from Zakeem Bailey. In reply, Ivor Walters Primary School (IWPS) was dismissed for 91, with Jonathan Persaud top-scoring with 11 runs.
Charlestown’s bowling attack was led by Deandre Moore, who claimed 3 wickets for 22 runs, helping secure a hard-fought 17-run victory.
Joycelyn Liburd Primary Cruises to 109-Run Victory
Joycelyn Liburd Primary School (JLPS) delivered the most dominant performance of the day, defeating St. James’ Primary School (SJPS) by 109 runs.
Batting first, JLPS amassed 154 for 6, thanks to an outstanding 58 from Josiah Chapman. For St. James’, Thomas and Parke each captured two wickets.
In response, SJPS was bowled out for 58, with Hazo Ottley scoring 7 runs. The JLPS bowling attack shared the wickets, with Lawrence and Herbert taking two wickets apiece.
Elizabeth Pemberton Primary Secures 10-Wicket Win
Elizabeth Pemberton Primary School (EPPS) recorded a comprehensive 10-wicket victory over Maude Cross Preparatory School (MCPS).
MCPS struggled to 39 all out, with Persaud top-scoring with 9 runs. The standout performer was Ajani Saddler, whose remarkable bowling figures of 7 wickets for 11 runs dismantled the opposition’s batting line-up.
In reply, EPPS comfortably reached 42 without loss, led by an unbeaten 22 from Teadrian Tross, while Decoy Liburd contributed an unbeaten 13, sealing victory with ease.
