Child Month 2026 Celebrations Conclude with Colourful Grand Parade Through Basseterre

Basseterre, St. Kitts — The Ministry of Education’s Early Childhood Development Unit (ECDU) officially concluded the 41st anniversary of Child Month with a vibrant Grand Parade through the streets of Basseterre on Friday, June 26. The annual event brought together children, parents, educators, and members of the wider community in a joyful celebration of early childhood development and healthy living.

Held under the theme, **”Fueling Our Bodies with the Best,”** this year’s Child Month activities highlighted the importance of establishing healthy habits from an early age, emphasising good nutrition, regular physical activity, adequate rest, and overall wellness to support children’s physical, mental, and emotional development.

Director of the Early Childhood Development Unit, **Ms. Kimona Browne**expressed sincere appreciation to all who contributed to the success of this year’s celebrations.
