Couple robbed at gunpoint in Cades Bay area of Nevis

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)– Today, Tuesday, July 22, 2014 sometime after 11:00 a.m. police officers of the Nevis Police Force responded to a robbery in the Cades Bay area.

Nevispages understands that a couple was vacationing in Nevis and staying at the ‘Clayton Gardens’ in Cades Bay when a masked gunman entered the cottage occupied by the couple.

Further information revealed that the female was able to escape from the room but the male was robbed at gunpoint. The bandit demanded money and fled the scene with other valuable items.

However, within minutes of the robbery and through the quick response by the officers, police was able to apprehend the ‘suspected’ robber in Cotton Ground. This publication is not aware if the items stolen from the victims were found in his possession.

He is currently in police custody assisting with the investigations.
