Cricket : Leeward Islands Masters Tournament Set for Nevis

CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS — The highly anticipated Leeward Islands Masters Cricket Tournament is set to return to Nevis from Friday, May 22, to Sunday, May 24, bringing three days of exciting cricket action to the island.

Seven teams will compete in this year’s tournament, including defending champions Antigua and Barbuda, along with Anguilla, St. Maarten, St. Croix, St. Thomas, St. Kitts, and host team Nevis.

Cricket fans can look forward to non-stop matches taking place simultaneously at the ET Willet Park, VOJN Grounds, and Brown Hill Playing Field.

Morning matches are scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m., while afternoon encounters will bowl off at 2:00 p.m. daily.

The tournament will culminate with the grand final at ET Willet Park on Sunday, May 24, where the top teams will battle for championship honours.

Organizers are encouraging cricket lovers from across Nevis and the wider Federation to come out and support the tournament, which continues to showcase camaraderie, sportsmanship, and competitive masters cricket within the Leeward Islands.

In support of the event, the popular Hit and Run Cricket Tournament at Hardtimes will pause activities on finals day to allow supporters the opportunity to attend the championship match at ET Willet Park.
