CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS — The Department of Education is inviting members of the public to attend the official launch of STEM Week 2026, which will feature a dynamic Public Symposium under the theme:
“Empowering Nevis: Digital Literacy and TVET for a Future-Ready Generation.”
The event is scheduled for Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Nevis Performing Arts Centre (NePAC), beginning at 9:00 a.m.
The symposium will bring together educators, students, industry professionals, stakeholders, and community members to examine the growing importance of digital literacy and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in shaping education, workforce readiness, innovation, and national development in Nevis.
Organisers emphasise that the event will serve as a platform for meaningful dialogue, knowledge sharing, and collaboration on strategies to better equip the nation’s youth for the demands of a rapidly evolving global landscape.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend in person and actively participate in the discussions. The event will also be broadcast live, allowing viewers to engage in real time by submitting questions, comments, and reflections as part of this important national conversation.
The Department of Education encourages widespread participation as Nevis continues to advance efforts toward building a future-ready, skilled, and innovative society.
