Drugs found aboard Four Seasons Vessel

(CHARLESTOWN NEVIS)- Information reaching this media house indicates that sometime between the hours of 1:30 pm. and 4:00 pm. today Wednesday, April 9, 2014, the Police Department in St. Kitts in a joint operation with Customs, carried out a search on the ‘Nevisian Spirit’, a vessel owned and operated by the prestigious Four Seasons Resort Nevis.

Information revealed that the vessel was thoroughly searched and two bales of compressed marijuana were discovered. Further details also claimed that the search came about, after Police realized that a vehicle had ventured in close proximity of the vessel while it was docked at Port  Zante  and someone came out and delivered a package.

Information indicates that the drugs are in police custody, along with the Captain and members of the crew, and a young pregnant student of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC).

Reports also indicate that the student in question told police, that she was asked to deliver the package to the vessel. Her car is also said to be impounded.

Investigation into the matter is continuing.
